Research as a Futuristic Packaging Design Firm
This order was fascinating to research, as futuristic packaging has changed over the years. There are also requirements for medical device packaging, especially in the USA. These labeling requirements needed to fit on the medical packaging as well as design needed to be futuristic. After researching, the whole team was involved in a brainstorming session
Bonus Challenge
The challenge with medical device packaging for companies is creating ease of use. For example, medical device packaging needs to be protective of the content so that they remain sterile. However, medical personnel may complain if the futuristic packaging design makes it difficult to get into. These contradicting requirements make the packaging design process enjoyable.
Futuristic Packaging Design Inspiration
Our chief inspiration was the medical field this device packaging became a part of. There are many unique ways to represent the human body and what the design was, so we had all the elements we needed. Additionally, Boston Scientific is a prolific medical device producer, so we were able to draw inspiration from there as well.
Narrowing Down the Final Options
The design meetings for this fmedical device packaging design were futuristic. We initially knew we wanted to represent what the device did. That played an enormous part in the various ideas. We worked our way down to a final decision to keep the packaging relatively simple so that the device itself was the primary focal point.
