Challenge

Our challenge for Simply Edible was to design multiple, cohesive food simple label designs for all of the distinct cookie dough flavors in a way that highlighted each unique flavor profile. Edible cookie dough is an innovative snack that allows customers to indulge in the delicious flavor of cookie dough without worrying about any of the health issues that potentially come from consuming the real thing.

Bonus challenge

The food simple label design had to showcase the great taste of the product to a large target market of snackers looking to treat themselves to an exciting and special product.

Result

Simply Edible required packaging and labeling design for their edible cookie dough product. Regardless of flavor, each different type of dough is packaged like a present. The fun and engaging shapes on the packaging draw attention to the product, and the creative label design makes each unique flavor special. The final result was an appealing, custom-made label that catches the attention of indulgent shoppers seeking a new, tasty product to obsess over.

The presentation

The presentation of the multiple flavors combined into one package is exciting, evocative of a high-quality box of Valentine’s chocolates, where every distinct selection is kept separate in order to both offer a range of options for consumers to sample. It was crucial to reflect that inspiration into the concepts for the packaging and labeling. The gift-wrapped and hand-selected feeling of the cookie dough is therefore appealing to customers looking for a product to savor and truly enjoy.

Coloring

Pastel, muted colors were better-suited than bold, vibrant hues when creating a professional label design. The hues match well together between the different flavors as well. In order to add more cohesion in the simple label design, the star and heart graphics were kept similar in al the labelling. These graphics also have a hand-drawn appearance in order to help suggest the idea of an artisan crafted, hand-made cookie dough product.

Finalization

The Simply Edible cookie dough product used a simple label design in order to create a big impact and successfully attract customers to the product.
