Helios brought Stan Agency a unique cereal packaging design request. The company processes and packages staple grains, legumes, and nuts. It needed an amazing packaging design for its organic white beans. We accepted the challenge.

Research as a Custom Cereal Packaging Design Firm

Our first design research step was examining the cereal market trends. We then explored some competitor cereal packaging designs. Often, white bean packaging bordered on minimalistic, so we knew we wanted to void that.

Bonus Challenge

The additional challenge with this project was relating it back to beans. People in the USA are divorced from where their food comes from. Therefore, it’s had to tie something like beans to plants growing in a field. We had to overcome that for our packaging design.

Design Inspiration

Our primary cereal packaging design inspiration was the fields. This place is where food starts, especially organic food. We wanted to convey the field and growing conditions across the cereal packaging.

Narrowing Down the Final Options

The professional and innovative Stan Agency team produced many potential packaging design concepts. The concepts were compared to the existing product line. Then we chose the final design based on visual attractiveness and market response.

Results

The Helios representative loved the chosen packaging design and sent it for immediate production. As a result, the company was able to transition packaging quickly. Next quarter, Helios sent an email to Stan Agency praising the genius of the packaging design.

The completed packaging design featured a field and lightly designed white sky expanse. We included a plant shaped product window. The tops of the bags alternate the brand colors. We look forward to assisting Helios again.
