OnePowder creates meal replacement products. The company brought Stan Agency a unique nutrition label design problem when it needed the first label for its product lines. We accepted the challenge and put our quality nutrition label design team to work.

Research as a Custom Nutrition Label Design Firm

To design a nutritional label, we researched the market trends. We gleaned that many nutrition label designs relied on imagery and color. Then we examined some direct competitor nutrition label designs. That provided a list of items we did not want to imitate.

Bonus Challenge

The particular challenge with this nutrition label design was the labels associated with it. In markets like the USA, names like organic and vegan scare off otherwise reasonable consumers. We needed a method of conveying the categories on the nutrition label design without hurting potential sales.

Design Inspiration

We employed minimalist nutrition label design principles. We chose this partially for cost-effectiveness. Minimalist is also easy for new companies to reproduce as they grow, which we hope OnePowder does.

Narrowing Down the Final Options

The professional design team came up with several nutrition label design concepts. We vetted the ideas against brand standards. Then we examined which had best captured the hard work OnePowder put into the product.

Result

The OnePowder team loved the design. The presentation was not finished when the praise started. OnePowder was able to quickly introduce its product to the market. The last we heard, the company was considering expanding to new flavors.

The final nutrition label design used minimalist principles. We assigned each package a color that represented the flavor. Then we added in contrasting text. The resulting clean nutrition label design worked marvelously. We look forward to working with OnePowder again.
