Glooscap Fine Cheese presented a unique custom order to Stan Agency. The company needed a clamshell label design to match its branding for a new launch. Glooscap Fine Cheese sells fine cheeses across various markets, including the USA. Stan Agency accepted the challenge and put our top-rated design team to work.

Research as a Custom Clamshell Label Design Firm

We began our research in the fine cheese industry. The industry uses a wide range of packaging options, but there are market trends in the labels. We also examined Glooscap Fine Cheese’s direct competitors so that we could better differentiate the final clamshell label design.

Bonus Challenge

The added challenge to this order is the fine cheese market. Fine cheese is a niche market with limited customers. To sell, we had to figure out how to set up Glooscap Fine Cheese’s clamshell label design so that existing fine cheese connoisseurs would pick it up with their typical cheeses.

Design Inspiration

The product was an enormous source of inspiration. The fine cheese offers a variety of colors based on the flavors, not to mention the look of the cheese itself. We also decided to employ some of the cutting-edge market trends before the team split apart to draw their concepts.

Narrowing Down the Final Options

The Stan Agency label design team produced some amazing clamshell designs. We began by comparing the ideas against the branding guidelines. Then we examined which ones would stand out on a cold shelf with other cheese brands.

Result

The Glooscap Fine Cheese packaging team loved the new clamshell label designs. The company already had a label printer lined up, so the labels come back in under a week. Glooscap Fine Cheese shared that the clamshell packages with the label design met and exceeded its sales projections.

The final clamshell label design featured the Glooscap Fine Cheese logo and an image of each cheese. The namesake ingredient sat in front of the cheese. We enjoyed working on this project and cannot wait to work with Glooscap Fine Cheese again.
