COFFEE LABEL DESIGN

Challenge

Coffee is an integral part of the workday for the majority of people around the world. Yet everyone enjoys it in a different way. Cold Brew is intended for coffee drinkers seeking out a professional and powerful flavor from their coffee, not the latte fans mixing milk and flavored syrup into the brew. Our coffee label designs for Cold Brew had to reflect and attract that type of no-nonsense customer drawn to classic, crisp flavors without any of the extracting bells and whistles.

Result

Our final coffee label design for Cold Brew was cool, crisp, and refreshing. Rather than rely on the traditional, warm-toned hues favored in coffee marketing, we aimed to use silver and blue colors, graphics, and font in order to develop a distinctive image for the product. The coffee label design had to accurately reflect the satisfying simplicity of the product itself. Therefore, the inspiration for Cold Brew was stream-lined and intended to showcase only the essential information of the product, instead of visually overwhelm the customer base.
Our professional, custom-made concept for Cold Brew’s coffee labels design is as creative as it is sleek. We deliberately ignored current trends of depicting artisan coffee through quaint narratives and personal anecdotes in order to allow the classic taste of the cold brew coffee take priority. Rather, we specifically created a coffee label design that would speak for itself. The focus of Cold Brew coffee is on the coffee; that’s what our coffee label design’s focus was on as well. All of the visual elements were kept minimalist and clear, hinting at masculinity. The font and graphics are presented clearly to any potential customer. Cold Brew drinkers are not people attracted by artificial flavors and unnecessary additions into their coffee; therefore, the coffee labels design should reflect that sentiment as well. Like a cold river flowing from the mountain, Cold Brew coffee gives off a crisp and refreshing image. The font was sharp and clear, prioritizing the brand’s name. Additional script was limited to caffeine and calorie content, as well as ingredient information, and intentionally did not distract customers from the presentation of the coffee. Cold Brew’s coffee label design was sleek and appealing to a primarily masculine audience of coffee drinkers looking to savor the pure taste of coffee without any unneeded additions.
